Features & Benefits

  • Modularized drive concept allows for quick, easy replacement of major components.
  • A robust manufactured carbon steel bearing housing assembly, intricate to the flex protected drive, isolates the gear reducer from the dynamic and static loads associated with the wet end of the agitator.
  • Wet end attaches to an independent bearing housing assembly which utilizes SKF spherical roller bearings with a minimum L-10 life of 100,000 hours.
  • The agitator drive heads are available in a variety of configurations, matched to the application (ie. flange mount, plate mount, with tank seal, without tank seal, etc.).
  • Optional tank seal is integral to the bearing housing, eliminating shaft misalignment.
  • Reduction through the v-belt drive and isolation of the dynamic loads enables a much smaller reducer to be sized for the mixer drive head, saving in downtime and capital costs.
  • Non proprietary reducers are used in the 'VTG' design allowing for reducer manufacturer preferences and competitive parts pricing.
  • The reducer is sized to accommodate the overhung load associated with the belt pull and maintain a minimum bearing L-10 life of 100,000 hours.
  • The minimum mechanical service factor of the gear reducer is 1.5. The thermal rating of the reducer exceeds its mechanical rating. Larger service factors are available upon request.
  • Process flexibility can be achieved through a simple and easy sheave change.
  • OSHA shaft and belt guarding are standard for increased safety.
  • Hinged inspection port doors on belt guard allow for easy access and serviceability.
  • Readily accessible lubrication lines and inspection points for optimal maintenance serviceability.
